Atorvastatin
Atorvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medication, which can help prevent heart attacks, strokes, and vascular diseases. It works by blocking the production of cholesterol in the body. Atorvastatin reduces bad cholesterol namely low-density lipoprotein. It belongs to a class of drugs referred to as statins.
Recommended Dosage – Discount Prescription Drug Atorvastatin
The dosage of Atorvastatin prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Take Atorvastatin with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.
Missed Dose of Atorvastatin
If your physician has instructed or directed you to take Atorvastatin medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses unless otherwise directed.
