The unwanted lump needs to be removed soon or the poison will affect our whole humanity around the world. If we try to know more, then the causes of breast cancer are still unknown and it will take some more time to understand the scene properly and proportionately. Since it’s the month of spreading Breast Cancer Awareness, let’s learn about cancer affecting millions every year.

The month of October is marked as the breast cancer awareness month in countries across the world. The campaigns held across the world helps to increase attention and support to fight the problem, its early detection, and treatment as well as palliative care of this disease.

Diagnoses

It can be diagnosed through multiple tests, including a mammogram, ultrasound, MRI, and a biopsy. Early detection's are possible if you’re aware of the breast self-exams, and go for regular clinic check-ups.

“Every year, there are about 1.38 million new cases and around 458,000 deaths from breast cancer.”

Reasons Behind the Cause of Breast Cancer

Rising Lifestyle

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer to be diagnosed in women worldwide, in the case of both developed and developing countries. When it comes to low and middle-income countries, the incidence has been rising up steadily in the last few years due to the increase in life expectancy, adoption of western lifestyles and increasing urbanization.

Majority of deaths due to breast cancer, i.e. around 269,000 have taken place in low and middle-income countries.

Availability of Resources

All the lower and middle-income countries lack resources, and the people face barriers to the most common of medication and health services. Due to all these reasons, most of the cases are detected in the later stages which makes it life threatening sometimes.

Lack of Knowledge

It is one of the common cancers among the few which isn’t detected early by many. People around the world don’t have enough knowledge about the reasons, symptoms, and causes of breast cancer. So, it ends of becoming a riddle to most of us.

What’s Our Responsibility?

In these hard times, even the smallest of the steps will work. World Health Organization, National Breast Cancer Foundation, and many NGOs around the world are fighting for the cause.

“Men suffer from breast cancer too”

As the part of National Cancer Control Plans, WHO runs comprehensive breast cancer control programmes to address the issue!

It’s our responsibility to donate money and devote people to fight it.

“Around 250,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed each year in women and around 2,400 in men.”

Pink is the Colour of Breast Cancer

Think Pink and go green is the new way of countering the problem. Pink is the colour denoting breast cancer and going green is just a way of living a healthy lifestyle to avoid and fight it.

“In the US, One in every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime.”
